Cabinet Blueprint · Planning Services

From first measurement to finished kitchen or bath

A kitchen or bathroom remodel involves dozens of decisions most homeowners only make once. This isn't a guide you work through alone, it's us planning the project with you, at every stage: measurements, drawings, cabinets, contractors, and everything in between.

01

Measurements

We start with your kitchen or bathroom as it actually is, not as a rendering assumes it to be. Walls bow, floors slope, and corners are rarely a true 90 degrees, especially in older homes. We confirm every wall, window, door, appliance opening, and out-of-square corner before anything gets designed around it, so the plan is built on real numbers from day one.

02

Drawings

Your measurements become a layout you can actually build from, not just a pretty picture. We review the work triangle, storage needs, and traffic flow, and flag anything a rendering alone would miss, gaps that need filler strips, appliance clearances, and how the upper cabinets interact with your hood and ceiling height.

03

Choosing cabinets

Stock, semi-custom, or custom, we help you pick the tier that actually fits your budget and your kitchen, then read the fine print with you: box construction, drawer slide and hinge brand, and the fully loaded price once fillers, moldings, and delivery are added in. The cheapest cabinet on paper is rarely the cheapest job once it's installed.

04

Choosing a contractor

If you're hiring out any part of the work, we help you vet candidates the way we'd vet someone working in our own home: the right interview questions, a real reference check, verifying insurance directly with the insurer, and reading bids line by line instead of by the bottom number alone.

05

Project start

Before demolition begins, we help you build a realistic timeline around your longest lead time items, usually cabinets and stone countertops, with buffers at every point one trade depends on the last. Your temporary kitchen and dust containment plan are sorted before the first tool comes out, not the morning of.

06

Through to completion

We help you know what to expect at each stage of installation, what's normal and what needs to be escalated, and how to run a proper final walkthrough: a documented punch list, every connection tested, and final payment released only once everything is actually done, not just close.

Wherever you are in that process, we can pick up from there.
